Bob's Early Days
Every year WQLN, the public television station Bob founded in Erie, PA, held an auction to raise money. Bob, who was very comfortable in front of a camera, was always ready to jump in to do whatever it took to raise funds. In this clip, he led the 1976 auction.
Anyone who knew Bob knew of his love for poetry. In fact, he started every meeting by reading a poem! The only thing that makes this video of a young Bob Chitester discussing poetry with Poet Don McQuaid better was that it was filmed in the WQLN "woods."

Free To Choose
Listen to Bob talk about doing stomach crunches on the floor with Milton and Rose Friedman and other affectionate memories that were taped in celebration of Friedman’s 100th birthday.
Milton & Rose Friedman could not come to the premiere of the PBS 10-part series, Free To Choose, hosted by WQLN in Erie, PA, so they recorded this video to be played to the team the night of the premiere.
Taking a break from filming in London in 1979, Milton Friedman explains in this video how Bob Chitester convinced him to do the series and why it was important to him.

Bob Chitester Messaging
In an effort to explain what Free To Choose Network does, Bob illustrates producing documentaries by brewing tea.
